Every one of the eight rooms of this 17th century manor house is an exquisite world of charm and comfort, among a harmonious combination of works of art, antiques, old linen and lace.
The author of "Alma Nova", "Aparições" and "Radiações da Noite" was born and lived in Santarém. Located in the main building, it offers a splendid view of the rampart, the river Tagus and its meadowland. The room has a king size bed, decorative fireplace, fully equipped bathroom with a walk in shower. Light shade decor and oil paintings.

Pictures and portraits of the 19th century royal figures alluding to the invasion of Santarem by King Afonso Henriques, are part of the decor.

The writer travelled from Lisbon to Santarém. This trip was to be a source of inspiration for "Viagens na Minha Terra".
